Study Task 06- COP3 Proposal

SUBJECTS OF CONTEXTUAL RESEARCH ALREADY UNDERTAKEN

Level 4: ‘Advertising does not sell things; all advertising does is change the way people think or feel’ (Jeremy Bullmore). Evaluate this statement with reference to selected critical theories (past and present).

Level 5:  With the high impact of new media and internet, what is publication today?

AIM AND/OR OBJECTIVE OF YOUR PROPOSED C.O.P.3 PROJECT

To keep the focus within media and publication as I have enjoyed exploring these areas in level 5
To expand on my knowledge of what I have learnt in level 5
The media, new media, internet and publication
I would like to look further into slow movement

What research needs to be undertaken into the general and specific contexts of your practice?

To read more books about media to outline a more specific path way
Reading other dissertations
Reading and research articles online about the media
Further research into slow movement

What approach(es) will you take and what processes, methods, materials and  tools  are to be involved in research into your practice?

Tools include: internet, books, interviews
Methods include: reading, visiting places of interest in relation to research
Materials: photographs

What preparation or investigations do you need to undertake for your creative practice to take place?

Visiting Thailand in the summer so I would like to use this as primary research into slow movement, looking at their quality of life. Other investigations include making more surveys and asking different age ranges questions about the media.

What research do you need to undertake regarding who your creativity is for?

Research further into the media and the various different areas including: newspapers, magazines, new media, social media. Maybe through reading I will be able to choose a more specific area of interest in media or a way of linking them all together.
