Manipulating Typeface- Font Families

Font Family- A set of fonts all with the same typeface, but with different sizes, weights and slants.

In Freds lesson we have been looking into manipulating type and the anatomy. Here after the lesson and manipulating a type face, we have been asked to manipulate it as a family being regular, italic, light and bold. I decided to manipulate American Typewriter, I immediately took the serifs off as i think they look ugly and are far too rounded. I then manipulated the same font in italic, light and bold. I added the cap height, x height and baseline.
