Prospectus Analysis

         Analysing Prospectus

  • Yellow/Cream boarder around each page- Personally I think this looks hideous, and is pointless. Also on some pages there are some shapes in yellow on the white paper, this distracts the eye while reading.
  • Hexagons on the front- they don’t seem to mean anything to do with art, I think they have tried to represent the mosaic from the old logo, but they just seen pointless. However I do like the black and white image behind the hexagons and the colour pallet used on the front, it’s a shame they didn’t use more colour throughout the book.
  • The A on the front cover- It took a while to realize but the left foot on the A is slightly raised and doesn’t match the typeface, now looking at it as a whole it looks terrible.

  • Newspaper Layout- The whole overall layout of the prospectus reminds me of a newspaper, it is boring, repetitive and not very creative.
  • Poster in the middle of the prospectus- this is the most pointless thing ever. It cuts off half the type, and the colours are plain, boring and bland. They have used it as an extra context to the book, which I find pointless, also I don’t like the way that it is cut half way in, it puts a stop to the flow of the booklet.
